| | ~ Artinger Guitars ~ Approaching his 10th year in business, Matt Artinger has established quite a niche in his relatively young career. Often jokingly referred to as a 'guitar monk' for his level of dedication to his instrument designs and clients, he began tinkering with guitars at the age of 12, and established Artinger Custom Guitars at the age of 19. Matt operates a one man shop in rural eastern PA, and rather than going a more commercial route, he enjoys tailoring his guitars around each and every client he deals with. From the basis of tonal spectrum, feel, and overall style and aesthetics, Matt's guitars have become regarded as some of the most cutting edge in the industry. His designs are continually evolving, and no two two are exactly alike. Through his hands-on synergistic approach, each instrument develops a personality that is one part Matt's, one part client's, retaining the core relationship and input of player and maker. DAG REPRESENTS CUSTOM COMMISSIONS FOR THIS BUILDER! DAG represents custom commissions for Matt Artinger. We can only handle a limited amount per year and they are on a first come-first served basis with typical wait times ranging from 6 to 10 months. If interested please call for a preliminary discussion in regard to the guitar you'd like to have Matt build for you. If scheduling permits and it's an instrument that Matt is interested in building, we will proceed to the next step and have you consulting directly with Matt to work out all the fine details, as well as pricing and deposits, before the build commences. |
 | Matt builds between 30-40 guitars a year, and along with his own handmade instruments, is also looking forward to the introduction of the C.F. Martin 'Contemporary 1,' a Special Edition 21st century twist on the OM cutaway, which The C.F. Martin Company will be introducing in the fall of '06. | | | |
