As is typical of Artinger's work the detail is astounding. If you study the photos carefully you'll find there's a great deal to see in this guitar. The hand carving work in particular just doesn't stop! This is the third of Artinger's 'blondie" one-off hollows. He's been building one of these per year since 2004, and each is a unique chance to put together some cutting edge details, and Matt Artinger's favorite combinations of woods and trim. This one features a handcarved german spruce top, handcarved mahogany back, mahogany sides, lightweight spanish cedar neck with multilayered slotted headstock with waverly tuners, 25" scale, black/koa/black binding scheme with comfort bevels front and rear, cat's eye soundholes with sideport and additional soundholes flanking the tail, one-off ebony and koa bridge tail and fingerrest, one-off seymour duncan jazz humbucker with ebony/koa cover and gold poles, flushmount strap buttons, recessed ebony control knobs with copper hoop markers. $7800        | | | |
