The Tucana is an incredibly flexible 3 Channel amp with an extra footswitchable Lead Master that can be used with either of the Overdrive channels.
Tonally these amps are like an OD-2 on steroids. The tonal palette is certainly the widest of any of the Carol-Ann amps. With the 3 channels, one can stray into higher gain levels yet still retain full note definition and separation even with complex chord passages and have an ultra-quiet noise floor.
The power amp section runs the 6550s at a moderate 75W ensuring very long tube life. The transformer set has been designed to retain a ton of warmth, coupled with slightly less filtering than the OD-2, makes this amp very easy to play with a softer percussive feel to note attack.
The Tucana 2 is very forgiving on cabinet choice and works well with many speaker / cab combinations.
