Welcome to Gene Baker's Fine Tuned Instruments. What can you say about Gene Baker? He's a mad man first and foremost, having dedicated his life towards the evolution and improvement of the electric guitar as we know it. People have often coined comparisons to his Leo Fender-like approach; afraid of nothing, and if he feels a customer's idea is a wise choice for the guitar playing industry he'll find a way to make it happen. Doing any search on the net, you will find nothing but positive synergy from all that have worked with him or have been a customer of his. Gene Baker guitars are known for their smooth, comfortable lines that are very appealing to the eye. Gene starting playing guitar at a youthful age of 11 and building guitars by age 13 and you will find him to this day playing the music scene in his own home area. Can you say eat, sleep and breathe guitars? One may say it's a personal quest of his to help the world create the best guitar tones possible with instruments that are held in high regard for their tone, craftsmanship, attention to detail and are meant to inspire the musician inside of us. He still may be somewhat young but he comes from a strong lengthy background in the vintage guitar industry, having worked for both the Gibson and Fender Custom Shops until deciding to continue his career under his own brand names such as the original Gene Baker Guitars to the current corporation "Fine Tuned Instruments" home of the "B3" guitars of today. You will see Gene's works of musical art become a very prominent name in the high end guitar market for a long time to come.

DAG represents custom commissions for Fine Tuned Instruments. We can only handle a limited amount per year and they are on a first come-first served basis with typical wait times ranging from 6 to 10 months. If interested please call for a preliminary discussion in regard to the guitar you'd like to have Gene build for you. If scheduling permits and it's an instrument that Gene is interested in building, we will proceed to the next step and have you consulting directly with Gene to work out all the fine details, as well as pricing and deposits, before the build commences.

You wont regret owning your first, second or third guitar that Gene may build for you. Most find that they can't own only one of his fine pieces of work, finding themselves ordering again as new models become available. Being that his new company is very small, his time to communicate with customers is minimal so through Destroy All Guitars he will be offering limited runs of the instruments he will be building.
