Gene Baker / Fine Tuned Instruments b3 "METAL" MODELS: XS and XS 3x3

The b3 comes in four flavors:

Fire (from $3795) - Carved top solid body model - This element adds a dimensional character, giving life to the carve top with a heart on fire.

Wood (from $3995) - Chambered to Hollow body models - This element adds natural rich tones, attributed to the acoustical properties with the introduction of air, allowing the woods' tone to be showcased, giving each a unique voice of its own.

Water (from $4595) - Carved top/carved back hollow models - This element adds motion and grace, giving birth to the added flowing shapes and contours of the instrument with the woods' interacting between the front and rear woods, adding sound waves into the tonal picture.

Metal (from $2995) - Neck thru models - This element adds strength and stability as a single unit allowing the instrument's resonance to travel unbridled throughout the center of the instrument.

Models can have a combination of elements such a Fire/Metal hybrid being a Carve top neck thru. Elements feed and have a cause and effect unto each other. With these parameters new models will naturally be born as new instruments come to life. The B3 XS model is a true hybrid encompassing the very best features, woods, and electronics from two of the giants that have come to define the electric guitar, at least until now. Gene starts with an "S" type body made of the finest grade Korina and then adds to that a Korina set neck-thru topped with an aged Brazilian fretboard melting into the body via a heel carve that is smooth as can be giving the player access to all the upper register real estate. The electronics, again, with 2 Humbuckers and a middle position single coil, give the player the best of two worlds. The hardware package includes a vintage style Wilkinson tremolo as well as locking Sperzel tuners.

The XS "3 X 3" has a much heavier lean towards classic Strat tones as a result of it's alder body and maple neck combination. Built around the same super fast playing neck offering incredible upper fret access courtesy of the most comfortable heel carve in the business, the 3 X 3 boasts the same hardware and DiMarzio pickups as the original XS model. The difference is all in the wood itself, making the 3 X 3 the ultimate for those looking for a Strat style guitar with some added muscle. This is the Super Strat if there ever was one.
