Giulio Negrini of GNG Guitars is a modern guitar maker and player, his skills as a hard-rock guitarist have informed his efforts to improve the comfort and playability of the electric guitar. Understanding the needs of players, he designs smooth necks and fretboards. Giulio is focused on hi-end, high quality guitars; multistrings, extended range, fanned fretting and hi-gloss finishes are common options in his models. All the Negrini guitars are entirely made by his own hands in his workshop under specific request of the customer, with a wide selection of rare and hi-grade tonewoods, premium hardware and his own handwound pickups custom made for each model he creates.
Giulio got his master luthier's degree at the Violin and Bow making School in Gubbio (PG) Italy in 2007, where he learned the classical techniques of the great Italian masters in the "Cremonese" style (Stradivarius, Guarneri, Amati). He attended various seminars, including Violin Restoration with Adam Whone, and Construction and Techniques for Archtop Guitar Making by John Monteleone.
Skills are a never ending pursuit. Even though Giulio has built more than 130 instruments he still keeps studying from various sources, both from modern guitar making authors as well as classical luthier's projects (archtop and acoustic guitars, violin and cello), deepening his knowledge about woodworking with an increasing passion about detailed handworks.

The shape is designed to allow playing the guitar in different positions; standing, sitting, and can even be held like a cello player does with her instrument...
