Here we have another killer, an Ultimate FLYWEIGHT '55 Flatpole, weighing in at 6 pounds, 4 ounces. This guitar is another no excuses workhorse, delivering tone and feel that even the finest original examples cannot surpass. The body is a beautifully grained Southern Swamp Ash, finished in a  '55 Whiteburst, with subtle pink and gray hues found on these mid to late 50's examples. This body is very light, dry and resonant. The finish is of course 100% high solids Nitro that is painfully thin, and lets the wood breathe as it should. Aging is meticulous with subtle texture and depth that is only GVCG...
