Kauer Daylighter Hollow Body
If you're looking for woody, hollow tone then the Daylighter Hollow-body is what you want. It wouldn't be called a one-trick pony but what it does, it does best. Huge open tone, very woody and hollow, reminiscent of some of Hoboken's finest. This Daylighter's interior is almost completely hollow, save for a block joining the back to the top, directly under the bridge. The inside of the cap is carved to match the outside, resulting in a top stiff enough to resist feedback at extreme sound levels, yet offering the classic warm tone of an archtop hollow-body. If you're aiming for some Freddie or Lucille then this is it. The Daylighter Hollow-Body is, on average, 3 pounds lighter than The Daylighter.
