~ Little Walter Tube Amps ~

Musician and software developer Phil Bradbury started his North Carolina based company Little Walter Tube Amps to develop a line of hand wired amps because he believed the amp business had forgotten what was important to the guitar player; simple transparency of the instrument that is being played. With the use of octal preamp tubes these amps improve the player’s dynamics and tactile feel. With only a volume and a tone control, the Little Walter tube amps are testament to the builder’s first law of tone; “the shortest signal path equates to the purest possible tone.” No circuit, tag, or turret boards are used in these amps. Little Walter offers a 5, 15, and 50 watt version. The touring model is a Twin 50 with two 50 watt chassis in a single head. Also there is a 50/15 recording model that has a 50 watt and a 15 watt chassis in a single head. Having loved the Allman Brothers for decades, builder Phil Bradbury says that one of his proudest musical moments came this year when Vince Gill played Duane Allman’s 1957 Gold Top Les Paul through his Little Walter Twin 50 amplifier.
Little Walter Tube Amps are used on tour and/or in the studio with Vince Gill, Rascal Flatts, Mark Knopfler, Joe Perry, Brent Mason, Dan Huff, Paul Franklin, Bruce Bouton, Reggie Young and Kevin Grantt to name just a few.
