Based loosely upon the Taurus chassis, the all- new Carolina carries a fabulous feature set intended to appeal to true devotees of a late 1950’s classic design. Some of the features include: Carved figured Eastern maple top, mahogany body, dual “boutique” PAF style pickups, set mahogany neck, 24.625” scale, custom pots and tone caps, dual volume/dual tone controls, ultra-thin and hard vintage style nitro finish (researched especially for this model), full ivoroid binding overall, and much more. We at DAG are honored to have our name on the headstock of this masterpiece. This Custom Carolina, weighing in at 8lbs 5oz, is made from all premium woods chosen by Terry and Cliff for their resonant qualities. We have placed a small tuned tone chamber in this guitar to create a super smooth and even response across the entire tone spectrum, giving this guitar a big orchestral like chording quality while maintaining a Les Paul-like focus and attack for lead and solo playing.
