Moriah Zadok
DESCRIPTION:
The Zadok model began as an exploration into bringing a modern version of "Papa Tele" into the market place. The whole adventure started when the Moriah team was working on a custom single cutaway idea for a friend. He wanted a slanted "Jazzmaster" vibe in the lower body, with a modern curvy flow to it. As they continued to develop the prototype, the body carve got more and more radical. They figured not many guitars are carved on the back, so, the back was carved as well. In fact, the only flat surfaces on the Zadok are the headstock faces. You will be surprised by how light and comfortable it feels to play a Zadok.
The Moriah design philosophy, which focuses on simplicity, leads them toward the removal of as many screws and trim devises as possible. They use magnets to hold truss rod and conrtol cavity covers in place, as they are recessed into the surrounding surfaces. Pickups are directly mounted to the body through the bobbin, allowing the trim to be removed.
THE ZADOK COMES IN THREE FLAVORS: - Standard Zadok, starting at $3900 - Zadok Custom, starting at $5000 (has a figured top) - Zadok Exhibition, starting at $6500 (has an exotic exhibition grade figured top)
The Moriah team feels very satisfied to have honored the grandfather of all electric guitars by offering the Zadok model to the market place.
