This is one of Waterslide's newest custom made Telebacker guitars and it's all "Made in the USA." The body shape is derived from a 1950s Rickenbacker Combo 800. This guitar features a white pine body with a lo-fi 'Silvertone Sparkle' nitrocellulose Lacquer finish that's been lightly relic'd and aged. The whole guitar weighs in at 6lbs 5oz total so it's LIGHT with great balance and no neck dive.
The roasted maple neck has an Indian rosewood fretboard, trapezoid inlays and a nice slim '60s C profile that's about .80" to .85". It's 1 11/16" at the nut with a compound 10-16" radius and 6105 frets. 25.5" scale length.
The pickups are raw nickel-covered Lindy Fralin "Big Singles" with 8,000 winds in the bridge and 7,000 winds in the neck. There's also Bourns audio taper pots, a 3-way switch, Sprague Orange Drop, cloth covered wiring and an Electrosocket jack. Waterslide utilized some vintage NOS Silvertone radio knobs to tie it all together.
The chopped Tele style bridge is custom machined for Waterslide and is made from 304 grade non-magnetic stainless steel (same as used on Mastery bridges) with compensated brass saddles. This bridge can also function as a top loader if you want to experiment with tone and string tension. The brass saddles are Gotoh "In Tune" saddles which are notched and compensated for accurate intonation.
