The "Wood" model is Gene's Crown Jewel, possibly the finest sounding and most soulful guitar creation of his career to date.
Gene has done it again with the stunning "Wood" model. This guitar truly has the tone of the gods.
The "Wood" model, in our opinion, is one of Gene's greatest achievements. This nearly hollow guitar sounds bigger, deeper and richer than most any 335 style guitar or for that matter, any semi to full hollowbody rock/blues/jazz guitar out there. It's neck pickup truly dwarfs the finest 335 style guitars we've put against it and it's bridge pickup is dramatically fatter, rounder and warmer than that of any other in it's class. This is simply one of the finest sounding instruments available!
