John Page DLS Prototype 002
DESCRIPTION:
This guitar is one of the two prototypes John Page made of his new DLS model, the second in the DL series. The body is two-piece Alder with front and back contours, finished in Olympic White, gloss, nitrocellulose lacquer. The neck is one-piece, quarter-sawn, Eastern Hard Rock Maple with a Brazilian Rosewood fretboard, a classic medium “C” shape, 22 nickel silver frets (.047” x .095”), gold Mother of Pearl dots (per my offset design), Sperzel non-locking tuning keys, and is finished in satin nitrocellulose lacquer. It is outfitted with a set of Suhr V-60 pickups, with a reversed slant lead pickup. The reversed slant gives a bit more “beef” out of the treble strings, like a righty strung lefty (think Jimi Hendrix). It has a brushed gold anodized aluminum pickguard and truss rod cover, Hipshot’s 6 saddle hardtail bridge, a 5-position blade-style switch, master volume and master tone controls. As with all of John Page's guitars, the neck is bolted to the body using four recessed ¼” custom connector bolts, for optimum neck to body tonal transference and responsiveness.
