Dismal Ax Barnstormer DC #110702 Completed July, 2011

Dismal Ax guitar
DESCRIPTION:

Like most Dismal Ax Barnstormers, the body of this DC model is made from sections of 2x4 barn rafters, but this happens to be old growth quartersawn red oak. Amazing what can be found in a run-down old barn. With the growth rings so close together, the wood is very light for oak, and this ax weighs in at just under 8 lbs, with no hollowing. Pickups are from Ohio winder Bob Urban and are nice full-sounding P90s.
