YOU ARE VIEWING A SALES ARCHIVE ENTRY - THIS GUITAR HAS BEEN SOLD. IT IS POSTED HERE AS AN EXAMPLE OF PAST SALES. PLEASE CHECK THE "NEW ARRIVALS" SECTION FOR INSTRUMENTS THAT ARE IMMEDIATELY AVAILABLE
DESCRIPTION:
The Maestro is the newest Lipe model. Mike designed this back in the '80s and made a few pieces but put it on the back burner. The Maestro is made with three woods, without using any top woods. Equatorial mahogany, white limba (korina) and alder. The equatorial mahogany uses a quartersawn equatorial mahogany neck. The korina uses a quartersawn korina neck. For the alder body maple is used for the neck. This hand shaped body has a deeply carved belly cut and the top horn is shaped downward for style but most of all to see the top section of the neck freely.
This particular Maestro is a korina model.
