Artinger Koa Semi-Hollow
DESCRIPTION:
In Matt Artinger's words: "This was a guitar that I made off the cuff with my preferred specs in mind. It’s a fantastically vibrant and balanced semi-hollow that sounds surprisingly loud when uplugged, and with plenty of versatility and punch when plugged in. One interesting side-note on this guitar--the one piece mahogany back was given to me by a close friend and client, Bill Frierson, who is a pioneer in modern surfboard building and design. He acquired the mahogany several decades ago from a casket builder. So what you see on the rear of this guitar was more than likely slated to be used in a mahogany casket before he got a hold of it!"
