If it's great Blackface tone that you are looking for, Headstrong is the finest to be found...Headstrong Amplifiers is the premiere replica amp company in the industry offering dead-on Blackface and Tweed replica amplifiers. Headstrong's 1964 Princeton® Reverb replica, the Lil' King Reverb amp as well as their hand wired copy of the 1964 Deluxe Reverb® amp, the Royal Reverb amp, are, in our opinion, the finest re-issues being offered today with tone far superior than that of all others available.

If you are searching for that magic Princeton Reverb amp, you need not look any farther as the Headstrong Lil' King is the answer. This amp will put a big smile on your face. The perfect amp for home and studio yet it has enough power to hold up with a band at any small club gig.

We, at DestroyAllGuitars, have quite carefully made our choice as to who it was that would fill the "Blackface" spot in our arsenal and, after very thorough and exhaustive research, Headstrong was the clear cut winner by a vast margin and we are thrilled to be using the Lil' King in our studio, and we are proud to be acting as a their newest sales agent in offering these incredible amps to you..

In Mid 2006, Headstrong developed the first in a series of original designs inspired by several vintage amp models. The new Prima series amps have a vintage look, feel and sound but offer several very modern features. 2007 saw the release of the 2X10 Brown Verbrovibe amp from Headstrong, another first, this replica of one the most sought after early 60's amp was a hit. Headstrong looks toward the future in 2008 with several new models in the works.

Each Headstrong Amplifier is built by hand using only the best parts available on the market today. Transformers are made by Heyboer using original data sheets on their replica amplifiers, and custom wound interleaved transformers are used for all original designs. Other parts include; Sprague Electrolytic capacitors, Carbon Composition resistors, 150 Series coupling caps, custom made solid steel and aluminum chassis. Headstrong cabinets are manufactured by them in Asheville, NC using solid finger-jointed pine for the shells and void-free birch plywood for the baffles and back panels. Covering is also handled by Headstrong using period correct tolex and tweed.

Headstrong pours their souls into these amps so you can put yours into the music playing through them!

The Lil’ King Reverb amp is the world’s first exact replica of the 1964 Princeton® Reverb amp. Headstrong has painstakingly re-created one of the best small gig/rehearsal/recording amps of all time. Headstrong Royal Reverb

The Royal Reverb is the first true hand wired replica of the AB763 1964 Deluxe® Reverb, one of the best recording/small to medium sized gig amps of all time, used by countless session and touring acts for years. Headstrong Verbrovibe

The Headstrong Verbrovibe is an affordable alternative for anyone lusting after an early-’60s Fender Vibroverb combo. The original was only built for a little over a year and was the first Fender® amp designed that had the reverb effect built into the circuit. The price range for good vintage examples has soared in the past few years making it affordable only to collectors with a large wallet. Now Headstrong has captured the timeless look, feel and tone of this prized amp and is offering it to the public at an affordable price.
