The Balancel is the ultimate pre-amplification unit. It has an on-off stomp switch and a volume knob. It is the most transparent pre-amp, clean boost pedal on the market. It will enhance the sound of any amplifier without altering the tone of your guitar. It has the ability to act as a clean boost, or with the volume pushed higher it is capable of pushing any amp into beautiful harmonic breakup, overdrive and distortion. This should be the first pedal in your chain, and in most cases you may just want to leave it on all the time, as a clean boost, especially if you follow it with another pedal or two to handle the distortion chores. There is no LED as it effects the tone and performance of the pedal. You will however have no problem knowing when the pedal is on, as your amp will have never sounded this good without it. It makes such a dramatic improvement in the sound of your amp that you will wonder how you ever got by without it. It is true bypass, runs on a 9 volt battery and does not accept AC.
