~ Pfeister Guitars ~

Like most guitarists, Craig Pfeister began playing when he was about thirteen and immediately fell in love with the instrument. He received a BFA from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco before he began Pfeister Guitars. He had wanted to learn to build guitars when he first arrived in California, before art school was even an option, and began learning to build while still in school.

Although he took the alternate route through Art School, Craig is glad that he did. "Being surrounded by artists for those years and being forced to constantly push my creativity and skill helped me more than I ever thought it could. I quickly learned how far you can push your brain at any given time and I make it a point to do so often."

Regardless of where Craig's inspiration may have come from for any particular instrument, there is a common thread that runs through all of them and it can best be summed up by the words "magnificent tone," as each and every one of his creations possesses a voice that is gorgeous and unique to that particular instrument.
