Red Plate BlackVerb Standard

The BlackVerb Standard is the final evolution of the BlackVerb model. Known as a "Swiss Army Knife" it combines a traditional tonestack with a smooth overdrive and is designed for the working musician that wants to play multiple styles with minimal setup time. It is a true 50 watts (2 6L6) with amazing headroom and a really great tank type reverb. The BlackVerb Standard has a 6 way mid Q (MODE) switch that ranges from a scooped "country" tone to a full on fat "fusion" tone. For even more fine tuning of your tone there is pull for Deep on the Middle control knob. Two rear panel voicing switches (Humbucker and smooth compression) makes switching your guitar types and playing styles quick and easy. The built in serial effects loop adds to the tone even when no external effects are used. The BlackVerb Standard comes with a 3 button footswitch (Tweed, Overdrive and Boost). The BlackVerb Standard is available as a head or 12 inch combo. Other controls: 2 way bright switch, tone stack bypass, overdrive shift, overdrive hi cut, reverb bypass and presence bypass. The output section has a cathode/ fixed bias switch (40 watt/50 watt), and a Hi/Low power switch for early breakup. 6V6 tubes can be used when operating in cathode bias mode for less wattage.

The BlackVerb Standard is also available as a BlackVerb88 - 80 watt (2 KT-88) version, add $200.
