Red Plate ShredPlate

This amplifier has 3 separate channels and more: Clean-LowGain-HighGain-Fxloop.

Preamp: The ShredPlate has a no nonsense 2 knob clean preamp (Volume and Tone) with a dedicated bright switch. Unlike a traditional 3 knob preamp there is minimal loading on the signal path so harmonics and sustain are emphasized with the overall effect of sounding 3 dimensional. This preamp is a proprietary design that is only available from RedPlate.

Gain Channels: There are two separate gain channels

1. Low Gain - this is the RedPlate version of the classic 100 watt European EL34 amp. The Volume, Gain, Treble, Middle, Bass controls will be very familiar to the typical "stack" player. The amount of character is easily adjustable so you can go anywhere between a British clean to full on "knobs to 11."

2. High Gain - this channel is inspired by the more modern "Shredder" style amplifier and has Volume, Gain, Treble, Middle and Bass controls. The channel has soaring infinite sustain with natural compression and tonal variations that can encompass "scooped" heavy bottom sounds or mid heavy grunge.

Three independent channels allow the player to set up for two distinct solo tones with immediate access to a clean channel or a Clean/Lead/Crunch Rhythm choice from the footswitch.

Master section: The ShredPlate has an active master volume so it can be played at any volume level without sacrificing tone. A second rear panel mounted master volume is footswitch selectable (Master2). The Global presence control can be bypassed for more low end at quieter volumes. There is also a rear panel "Depth" control.

Effects Loop: The ShredPlate has a built in serial buffered effects loop. There is a "Loop" button on the footswitch to bypass the effects in the loop.

The ShredPlate uses 4 EL34 tubes for a 100 watt output section. Standard features include a 4 button footswitch (LowGain-Master2-High Gain- Loop) and a 1/2 power switch. The ShredPlate is available as a head only.
