Red Rocket creates vibe-soaked guitars inspired by the taillights on a '59 Caddy, the two-tone paint on a '51 Indian Chief dripping with chrome, neon on old diners and cover art from cool old pulp sci-fi magazines; guitars that look like they are from another era but feel like a finely detailed boutique instrument made just for you. They want to make you a guitar that feels like a comfortable old friend with a rich, complex tone that inspires you to keep exploring and expanding your playing; to take what is best from the last 80 years of electric guitars and bring it together to make you an instrument that helps you become a better player.

Matt Nowicki is the one who chooses the lumber, wires the parts, does the cutting, sanding, painting, polishing and he's got the splinters to prove it. Many years ago Matt got a degree in sculpture and, after a few fantastically lucrative years (insert sarcasm…), ended up in London ad agencies as the guy who could draw and knew how to use the brand new (at the time) Macs. He worked as a creative and photographer in ad and design agencies, honing a sense of balance and proportion and how to add that funky, eye-catching little detail. He was eventually drawn back to working with his hands on real objects for real people and guitars became the perfect canvas. "They are intensely personal and have so much incredible history behind them. And let's face it, they're just plain fun. I love thinking up new combinations of colors, wood, and sound and seeing the instrument emerge at the end into something that has a life of its own."

While most guitars are custom orders, Red Rocket will be offering some spec guitars here.
