Introducing the Supertone guitar from custom guitar engineer Joe Bochar. This hand-crafted modern guitar is an exquisite balance of form and function. With unique body contours and matching headstock, this design pays homage to vintage instruments while incorporating exotic curves and distinctive design features that set this guitar apart from its predecessors.

The sculpted neck heel is thinner than a conventional bolt-on, for more comfortable access to the upper frets. The patent-pending Sliplock Neck Joint design is comprised of a modified mortise and tenon that requires the neck to be press-fit into the body. This unique configuration yields not only an uncompromising union between the neck and body, but also singing sustain for days. With a body that is shaved to 1.625” thick, shaped arm & belly contours, and an average weight of approximately 7 pounds, the Series Y is balanced & comfortable to play either standing on stage or sitting in the studio.

All of the JBG Supertone guitars feature 25.5” scale length, 1.6875” bone nut, jumbo nickel silver fretwire, 12” radius fretboard, dual action truss rod, twin humbucker pickups (DiMarzio 36th Anniversary PAFs, or Air Norton/Norton combo), 1 volume & 1 tone (push/pull outer coil switching), and Gotoh hardware.
