JG guitars Johan Gustavsson Guitars) is pleased to announce the release of their latest model! The Futuremaster pays homage to the legendary '58 Kalamazoo Korina Series, which was comprised of the Flying V, the Explorer (a '58/63 explorer sold @ auction in 2005 for $611,000. making it the most expensive non-celebrity owned solid body guitar ever sold at auction -- EXAMPLE), and the Futura.

Johan set out to create a guitar that offers the sonic trademarks of these revered instruments, while retaining the familiar Bluesmaster perimeter shape.

Many of the construction techniques which set the '58 Kalamazoo Korina Series guitars apart are found in the Futuremaster. This includes the extended tenon found on the original Explorers. This tenon travels past the neck pickup route and terminates right between the neck and bridge pickup routes which maximizes the coupling of the body and neck.

Gustavsson has also incorporated the extended body/neck heel found on the original Flying Vee´s and the interior routes are done in the same way as on the original Explorers.

Hardware includes JG Guitars proprietary intonatable wrap-around bridge, along with Thro-Bak humbuckers, which have been carefully calibrated to the Futuremaster's specs.

Guitars are available with nickle or gold plated hardware and a choice between black or parchment guard and jackplate.
