7/4/08 - THIS ONE IS SOLD, BUT ANOTHER ONE IS ALREADY IN PRODUCTION! Folks, here it is, the Shelley Park, DestroyAllGuitars Model Encore. We are incredibly proud of, yet humbled by this truly magnificent instrument designed and built for DAG by Shelley Park. This is quite an honor for us and without further ado, here it is: The DAG Modele Encore is a combination of premium features that brings together elegant cosmetic appointments with premium tonewoods to create a guitar that will captivate guitarists with its tone, playability and artistry. Model Encore Overview: The Modele Encore is based on the later models produced by the Selmer Company of France. It features a long scale length and ?petite bouche? oval soundhole. The bright, clear, focussed tone of this model, along with 14 frets clear of the body make it an ideal choice as a solo instrument. It also serves the rhythm guitarist well with a punch that will drive a rhythm section. Materials: The materials for the DAG Modele Encore have been carefully selected for their tonal characteristics as well as their beauty. The European spruce soundboard provides volume, immediacy and power. The back and sides are Indian Rosewood, a handsome material which contributes warmth and sustain as well as a sparkling brightness. The guitar?s body is bound with lustrous golden figured Koa which frames the guitar elegantly. The dovetailed one piece neck is made from flamed Big Leaf Maple. Features: In keeping with the Selmer tradition, this guitar is equipped with Miller tuners ? a beautifully handmade replica of the original machines. With a 14:1 gear ratio, they meet modern expectations for functionality while retaining the period beauty of the original design. The tortoise buttons are a lovely compliment to the koa binding. A less traditional addition to the DAG Encore is the player's side soundport. This aperture provides an enticing monitoring effect for the player without a loss of projection. On this oval hole model, the sound port also has the effect of adding sustain and a wide range of tonal colours.
