~ Straub Amplification ~

Harry Straub of Straub Amplifiers builds custom guitar amplifiers one at a time with the greatest of care. His amps are built around a simple idea; he builds hand wired amps using the best quality parts for reasonable prices. Straub specializes in hardwood cabinets, solid turret board designs, backlit faceplates and capturing the greatest tones imaginable at prices aimed at the working musician. His amps are made to be gigged with. They use tried and true rugged construction methods. All amps use a .090 thick anodized aluminum chassis, 1/8" G10 hand drilled turret boards, ceramic sockets, carbon comp resistors, solid hardwood cabinets with dovetailed edges and backlit laser engraved faceplates as standard parts.

Straub Amplifiers has partnered with DestroyAllGuitars in regard to the perfecting, marketing and sales of it's two flagship models, the 50 Watt El34 based Cantus and the Triode based 12 Watt Junior version. These are the only two products that Straub will be focusing on for the immediate future. A great deal of research and development has gone into the design and creation of these two amplifiers and once you plug in and play you will hear the difference.

straub logo DestroyAllGuitars is incredibly proud to have Harry Straub and Straub Amplifiers as part of it's family. Straub represents the highest dedication to design and build quality, strictest quality control and as a result some of the greatest tones obtainable from an amplifier. Harry personally voices each amplifier as if he were purchasing it for himself. If it does not meet his standards, it does not leave the shop. He is truly 100% quality - not quantity based. He is a fiercely independent minded entrepreneur, an inspiration to all those around him and very soon a major force to be reckoned with.

Straub Twisted Triode

The TWISTED TRIODE is packed full of some of the thickest and creamiest crunchy rhythm to full on screaming lead guitar tones to be found. It is not Tweed nor Vox or Marshall and is neither 6V6, 6L6, EL84 or EL34. You will hear all those sonic footprints, but the Twisted Triode's tones are deeper, thicker and richer than those of your typical EL84 or EL34 amps and yet more raucous than those of your typical 6V6 and 6L6 amps.
