Since 2008 Teuffel has offered a high-end line of instruments next to his standard models. The high-end guitars differ from the standard models in the selection of the tonewoods, the fine metal platings, the pickups, the hardware and finally the finish. In short: if his standard models are a short program, the Prodigy Series are freestyle. In the upcoming years unique guitars will appear under this label.
These guitars can't be backordered once they have found an owner. They are really meant to be unique items.
Here you see a triplet set of a Prodigy Series Niwa, a Prodigy Series Tesla and a Prodigy Series Birdfish. The tiplet is a tribute to the 20th anniversary of Teuffel guitars in 2008.
THE TRIPLET As a tribute to this anniversary Teuffel has lined up a unique triplet of his three guitar models. There are 10 numbered sets, each including a Niwa, a Tesla and a Birdfish. Each guitar has a neck made of a single piece of French walnut and modified alnico pickups which underline the warm character of the walnut timber. The instruments are painted in the spot color "sand". Dimensions and scale are identical with the standard models.
The triplet is limited to 10 sets. Each guitar bears both the serial number and the number within the triplet series and comes with its own case and display.
