TV Jones is well known throughout the world as the premier manufacturer of high-end Filter’tron style pickups. TV Jones pickups are played by many top artists such as Brian Setzer, Billy Gibbons, the Reverend Horton Heat, Chris Cheney of the Living End, Noel Gallagher of Oasis and The Edge from U2. Securing his spot as one of the top vintage pickup makers, Tom “TV” Jones is now committed to producing high quality, hand crafted guitars.

Tom has wanted to produce guitars for the past 5 years, however, it wasn’t possible due to the thriving pickup business. Over the past 10 years Jones has been driven to continually improving existing pickup models and to expand and develop new pickup designs. Now the time is right to offer TV Jones guitars, once again.

Tom's guitar making past:
“In the 90’s I was primarily a guitar maker. Most of the guitars I made were 7-string thin-line arch top guitars. The bodies were mainly 17” and 16”. Every once in awhile I’d get a request for a two pickup guitar. I really enjoyed making dual pickup guitars because there are more tonal variations. I also experimented with basses, baritones, and even mandocellos. I just had a lot of fun building anything with frets and strings”.

"In 1999 I took a big detour. Guitar pickups became the main focus of my business. I had to put the guitars away for awhile, and since 1999 I’ve only made half a dozen guitars. So now I’m back at it again building prototypes that I feel confident enough to put into production." –– Tom "TV" Jones

TV Jones Spectra Sonic Supreme

The Spectra Sonic Supreme is a single-cutaway semi-hollow body that is easy on the eyes and effortless to play. Available in deep translucent cherry red and translucent charcoal black with a figured maple top and a chambered alder body, topped off with a nitro-cellulose lacquer finish and equipped with a pair of TV Jones TV Classic pickups.
