Macmulls latest addition to the Classic Design series!
If you've ever wondered why your T-Style guitar doesn't sound like one of your old records, it's time to check out the Macmull T-Classic and see what the fuss is all about. This model features an aged, lightweight alder body combined with Macmull's body-neck matching system, along with a set of hand-wound pickups individually made for each guitar to support its tonal character.
This classic guitar is sure to challenge those pricy vintage ones from the '50s and '60s! All handmade in Macmull's workshop with the highest-grade materials available. Playability is superb to meet Macmull's uncompromising standards.
Featuring an aged, dried lightweight alder body for that vintage vibe and rich complex sound, this model is shaped to meet original specs from the '50s and '60s. All bodies are non-weight-relieved, and made from two pieces of kiln-dried alder.
All necks are made from premium-grade maple. Straight-grained and whiter pieces are selected and prefered for their sonic advantages. Rift sawn maple is recommended for its mellower vibe and vintage texture. Although, quarter sawn is also an option.
Each neck is reinforced with a retro-style single-action truss rod, just like they used to make them in the '50s. Most manufacturers use the double-action truss rod, even on vintage replicas, yet a single truss rod will give you a better neck-body resonance, and you'll be able to feel that difference playing the Heartbreaker unplugged.
The original and unique style of the headstock of the Heartbreaker is a real gem; a straight-line design that fits the simple, classic mojo with a retro look resembling an acoustic guitar headstock from the '30s, painted in black. Vintage tuners with white plastic buttons and a silk-printed gold logo blend into a classic and elegant design.
Macmull offers the punch of Madagascar rosewood or pure fatness of maple to meet your tonal taste. Fingerboard radius is 9.5" for comfort, rolled edges for vintage feel and comfort and Dunlop 6105 frets extra polished and rolled to perfection.
PICKUPS AND ELECTRONICS
Macmull's pickup set for the T-Classic is different from the Heartbreaker - Alnico 2 and 5 mixed in a formula that yields that classic twangy hollow tone. All T-Classic guitars come with CTS pots (highest grade) and Paper-In-Oil caps are standard in all Macmull guitars.
The Macmull team is very proud of their electronic assembly. They use only the highest-grade pots and caps, and push back cloth wire, making their electronic assembly pretty on the eyes AND the ears.
Pure nitrocellulose lacquer is one of the key factors for tone. Pure nitro takes more time to dry and is harder to work with, but when it comes to sound Macmull will not compromise. Available in all vintage colors from the '50s and '60s.
